SCOTT DETWEILER

Scott Detweiler is a guitar player from New Orleans that brings together blues and jazz in the grand New Orleans tradition of the Neville Brothers, Dr. John, The Meters and Chocolate Milk.

His music is driven by rhythms indigenous to the New Orleans sound. His unique quality is that unlike legendary artists who also hail from the Big Easy, like Fats Domino, Dr. John, Harry Connick, Jr., and Professor Longhair, who are known for playing piano, Scott plays the guitar. He one of the most important guitarists to come out of New Orleans in recent years.

Scott is known not only for his relentless rhthym playing but also for his well-balanced phrasing and his exceptionally clean tone when playing lead guitar.

To experience live video and recordings from his vast music catalog, visit www.myspace.com/scottdetweiler and www.detweilermusic.com.

Scott signed in March 2007 with V A V V Records in Los Angeles and his latest album
"Made In New Orleans" is available on CD from iTunes, CDBaby, Louisiana Music Factory, Amoeba Music and direct from V A V V Records. Stay tuned!
