Rockabilly music has such an incredible force and "that sound" to make folks move, jump and jive. However, those classic amps that helped create that hot, greasy, driven style have always been difficult to find in any reasonably good condition in the aftermarket. Even if found in great shape, those amps would need to be refurbished with new caps and tubes to wail at it's full potential for a rockin' cat.
Search no more! The "El Sonido" amp has arrived!
El Sonido (spanish for "the sound") is a hand-built, hand-wired amp featuring the early 60's Fender 6G6-B Bassman circuit with the signature Gomez amp styling of rough-blonde tolex, wheat grille cloth and white barrel knobs -while retaining the same dedication to heavy duty construction and quality componentry.
The Gomez "El Sonido" features JJ/Tesla ECC803S miniature tubes for the preamps and phase inverter and rockin' reissue TUNG-SOL 5881 output tubes.
